Two Days Capacity Building Workshop on Mental Health and Psychological Support
December, 2023 – Reachers Foundation through it’s executive Director attended the first day of a two days capacity building workshop on mental health and psychological support. Organized by the international organization for Migration (IOM) the training aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of professionals working in the field of mental health and psychosocial support, equipping them with the necessary tools to address the diverse needs of individuals and communities affected by the on-going crisis in the NW/SW regions.

Reachers Foundation is proud to stand alongside the incredible students of Inter Comprehensive High School, MACBICOL, Summerset Bilingual College and Baird Memorial College in our collective fight against Gender-Based Violence (GBV). We took a crucial step forward by organizing an impactful session as part of the 16 Days of Activism Against GBV campaign.
Our goal was to create awareness and inspire action, and we are overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and engagement shown by the students. Their commitment to making a difference in their communities is truly inspiring!
International Volunteers Day 2023
We were excited to have commemorated the launch of International Volunteers Day, a special occasion that is tagged “a decade of volunteerism” From November 25th to December 5th, we are joining hands with the South West Regional Delegation of Youth Affairs and Civic Education, as well as other local organizations such as bless foundation , Clean water and Sanitation Africa and many more to engage in various activities that promote positive change.
The activities of the day included: clean-up campaign known as “Eco-Jogging – picking up plastic waste, all the way down to the OIC Market. Over 20 plastic bags were filled to the brim with non-biodegradable waste. We ensured that the gathered waste was disposed of responsibly in a trash bin provided by the waste management company. This small gesture goes a long way in safeguarding our precious ecosystem.

Over the past three days, we commemorated International Rural Women’s Day on October 15th, World Food Day on October 16th, and the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.

This started on November 25th 2023 the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and ends on December 10th International Human Rights Day highlighting the fact that violence against women is a fundamental violation of human rights. The day aims to raise awareness about the prevalence and devastating impact of violence against women worldwide, as well as to call for greater efforts to prevent and eliminate such violence. It is also a day to reflect on the need to end violence, to support survivors, and to promote gender equality.
Activities carried out
Public Awareness Campaigns: conduct public awareness campaigns to educate communities about the different forms of gender-based violence
Workshops and Training Sessions: to enhance knowledge and skills on gender-based violence prevention and response.
Panel Discussions: held to facilitate conversations and knowledge-sharing on gender-based violence.
Art Exhibitions and Performances: Art exhibitions, performances, and cultural events are organized to highlight the issue of gender-based violence and its impact on individuals and communities.
Marches and Demonstrations: Peaceful marches, rallies, and demonstrations are organized to raise public awareness, demand policy changes, and advocate for an end to gender-based violence.

July 15th, 2023 was an incredible day filled with love, learning, and giving back at the Grace of God Orphanage in Buea! Reachers Foundation had the privilege of organizing a special event to commemorate World Skills Day, and it was an experience that will forever be etched in our hearts. ![]()

This project was a means of recycling by transforming old and used materials to new ones this is inline with our mission to reduce and eradicate waste in our communities . It also a project to empower young and vulnerable girls by equipping them with these skills that will render them financially independent.
